Went and watched Troy tonight. Pretty.. epic. I'm not sure I would recommend it to everyone, but I think that if you want to see a more human side to The Iliad, then go check it out. My only real reservation was that I had trouble connecting with any of the characters other than Hector, played by Eric Bana. You may remember him from The Hulk, which tanked but I think is still a good movie.

ANYWAY, about this one... Brad Pitt does an apt job as Achilles, but I thought he was a bit too moody. Maybe that's how Achilles needs to be played? Dunno. Last but not least, this movie was basically a lesson in anti-war sentiment. There are no winners, just losers who perpetuate fighting all the time. It seems perfectly timed with the anti-war sentiment growing in America right now, and the fact that the US has finally pledged to pull out of Iraq echoes the sentiment right now. I digress. Check it out if you've got about 3 hours to waste and want to see an awesome fight or two, with straight up drama and Brad Pitt's nekkid body being highlighted every 45 minutes.

Wow, waaaaaay too much time reviewing a movie. I'm out.
