I rule SO much. I mean, I'm probably one of the funniest people in history. Alright, so I went to the Ku Klux Klan's website because of an article I read in the New York Times about a Klansman who is finally being tried for the murder of 3 people in the 1960s. Anyway, I go to the website and realize that the site is so well designed that it looks like it was done up by a 2 year old drunk monkey. I laugh heartily at the ill-conceived and even more illogical propoganda that they have on there, and at the bottom I see, "Contact Us."
It was too much for me.
I created an account on Hotmail and sent them an email with some stupid crap about "Hi my name is Matt Dickerson and I want to join your fine organization," and so on.
Now you might be wondering why anyone would want to associate in ANY way with such a heinous organization. The reason is this- as heinous as they are, they're also a bunch of imbeciles. I just want to see their reaction to a 'new recruit' and if they'll start preaching to me in their response. Then, at some point (preferably when I'm out of the country), I'll say, "Hey, did I mention I'm not white?"
It shall be glorious.

You know how tech people get this stereotype that they're nerds and geeks? I'd like to say that this writer, a tech writer for Newsweek is the epitome of it. I'd also like to submit that he's never gotten laid in his life.
Tech Geek galore!
Tech Geek galore!
I just finished watching this video of a dude who works with snakes. That's all well and good- I think it's admirable that some people can work with some of the most feared and misunderstood animals in the world. Crocodile Hunter Guy-- he's another one. He genuinely 'cares' for crocs and alligators, and god bless him. The difference with this homeboy is that after he lets go of the jumping viper, he feels the need to pay it back for all the trouble he's caused. e.g. Picking it up. So he proceeds to- get this-- pour water down the snake's throat to refresh it and help with thirst. Umm... okay, that's a bit much for me.

Whoooo. Finally got the courage to read some articles today... sports-related... Orange Bowl related.. it wasn't pretty. Most of them just focused on USC's dominance, etc. That's well and good, I don't mind. And then came those that focused on OU being unfit to be in a national championship game, etc. In fact, I believe there were the words "Choklahoma," and, "poser," included in there. Ouch.
But hey, that's to be expected. As I sit here asking, "WHY," I'm sure Bob Stoops and Jason White are seeking solace with their significant others asking the same thing. Wondering if they could just do something different. If it was their fault. And perhaps more importantly, what to do now. And that's the next step for Bob Stoops at least. Figure out what to do next. He's obviously a great recruiter. He's obviously a great coach. But for the last two BCS bowls, we have been routed. Not defeated, routed. Very difficult for OU fans to watch. My friend Matt said that it seems as if Stoops needs to go back to the drawing board and start from the basics. Defense, defense, defense. Our offense was amazing this year, no question about it. But our defense, oh howdy our defense. Never in Stoops's tenure here have we been chastised about our defense and here it is, coming to fruition.
I'll be posting more, trying to get some answers to what happened in the Orange Bowl. I need to vent somewhere.
NOW SOMETHING POSITIVE:
Ashlee Simpson (shudder) performed at the game yesterday, and as usual, she was very odd. At the end of the performance, she got booed (!) offstage with taunts of, "You suck!" Check the article..
Ashlee Simpson's vocal malfunction-
Making viewers long for the days of Janet Jackson's breast
Ahh.. some laughs after all of this. Sweet respite.

Woke up just a little while ago; I ended up going to bed at 5:30 am. Watched the movie at Angel's- which she loved, btw- and then we went driving around Norman and taking photos. Afterwards I spent like an hour talking to Erica, then called Angel again, and finally got bored of lying in bed and fell asleep. I think I'll post some of them under My Portfolio; there was some really neat stuff.
So I just went outside to get into my car; everything is TOTALLY frozen. I couldn't get into my car because the lock and door were both frozen solid. There's a thick sheet of ice everywhere, and obviously, slightly dangerous. I think Vinni's assessment said it best. "It's EFFING COLD outside!"

I think there are about 4 minutes to go, and they scored again. I've stopped watching. Any chance we had to redeem ourselves and not look like we lost by a landslide is also gone; USC is having fun toying with our secondary and burning us. Even on 4th and 1 on the 5, they did a pass instead of a field goal. But I suppose you can do that if you want to; I'm not going to hold it against them.
And I'm out. I hope I get in touch with Angel tonight-- I want to watch Bad Santa once more. It'll be the only thing that can get this horrific night out of my mind.

WTF is going on?!! My team is losing by like, frikkin 30 points or so. Absolutely pathetic. I'm not even watching the game right now, I'm in that much pain. I was at Levi's watching everything, and then I just got disgusted and left. I mean, in the first seconds or so, I saw the score as 7-7 and thought, "Hmm.. this is gonna be one of those grueling games where each team shoots out until the end."
And then came our turnover.
And another one.
And another one.
And another one.
They got 24 points off of our turnovers, and I haven't even watched it in the past 10-15 minutes. The question now is not WHETHER our team will lose, but whether we can lose RESPECTABLY. If not, we're going to go down as the worst national championship loss in history.
How's THAT for feeling good about your team. Now I'm going to watch the rest of the game.. no hopes, just a wish that we don't get even more humiliated.

Okay, an hour and a half until the National Championship Game where OU takes on USC in the Orange Bowl. I really shouldn't be this nervous, but the main reason is that I watched OU get demolished last year in the Big 12 Championship and the Sugar Bowl. As a result, I know we can lose. Plus we've got some questions in our secondary, blah blah blah. I need to make this clear though-- USC is not without its faults either. Their wide receivers are just freshmen who haven't been used all that much, etc. etc.
Basically, this game comes down to intangibles. Who wants it more. I say OU does, and let's hope I'm right.
Since I've taken forever to write this post (because I'm talking to like, 3 other people online), I'm gonna sign off. Now only 1:15 left 'till the game. I'm about to puke. :(

That's it. I have to add this movie now to my list of faves. It's Bad Santa with Billy Bob Thornton and Lauren Graham. The chick off of Gilmore Girls. WHO, incidentally, looks major umm.. niiiiiice.. in this movie. Anyway, the movie's got so many wonderful quotable quotes that I'm going to relish for a long long time. The only problem? They're absolutely the most x-rated things you've ever read. Horrendous, I say. I mean, it doesn't make all that much of a difference to me, but there's no way I'll be posting some of the juicier ones on the site. (You know, family looking through this site and all..)
Don't worry, I won't leave you hanging.. I'll give you one Quotable Quote and then I'm out.

Getting more and more nervous here. I know I know, football really shouldn't be this much of a big deal for anyone, but tomorrow is the national championship game for OU and I'm really nervous. I may not get sleep tonight. Okay fine, that might be a bit melodramatic.
Onto other things. I'm going to hang out with Nitu today, who I haven't seen in approximately 12 decades. Apparently all 2004 Honda Accords have been recalled, blah blah blah. So we'll hang out and catch up on everything in the past 120 years that we haven't seen each other.
On another note, it's about two more weeks until I head off to India. I don't know how I feel about it anymore, actually. At first I was just completely excited- shooting a movie, (maybe) getting a job, hanging out with cousins, etc. Now there's a wave of nervousness that's come over me, and I'm not sure why. I may learn to live with it, or I may figure out what the underlying reason is and post it on here.
Last, I'd like to include Ms. Walia as another source of help when I was coding this site. We talked for a bajillion hours at night while I was coding, and I appreciate it. It's also important to know that I'm writing this because my family has been held captive and will not be released by her if I don't say this.
