IT'S SNOWING!
It's near the end of March, and it's snowing in Oklahoma. Wow. This is after we've had spells of days when we've reached into the 90's. For the past few days it's been pretty cold here, and tonight, snow.
Yes it's 2 somethin am and I was outside driving. I've got this thing where my whole sleep cycle is all screwed up that I can't get to sleep until 5 am every night. (4 if I'm lucky.) So that then causes me to sleep in until 11 or 12. That can be fixed. The worst is when I end up taking a 'nap' from 3-6 in the afternoon. That then leads to me being up all night again. Right. But the point is, I was outside and I was able to watch absolutely thick full flakes of snow waft gently onto the ground. Magnificent.
There's already about half an inch covering everything, and as I drove I had my windows down fully so I could hear the snow. There's something magical about the sound of snow. It's... silent. It's the only weather phenomenon (precipitation) that's silent. And yet you can listen carefully and hear a rustle of leaves here, a whip of wind there. And that's it.
When I grow up, I want to be a snowman.
