A revelation, my dear friends--

I am now on the South Beach Diet. What does this mean? It's basically the Atkins diet (high protein no carbohydrates) but a bit more lax. This allows carbs, but only after Phase 2 or 3. Right now I'm on Phase 1 which won't allow me to touch any of that. Oh yeah, and no sugars. (simple carbs.) It makes it damn difficult to eat fruits, okay, impossible, but weirdly after two days of this, I'm sort of getting used to not wanting carb stuff. Here's my menu:
Morning:
2 Eggs (!), 2 strips of turkey bacon (!)
Mid-Morning:
Cheese or Yogurt. Low-fat/low-sugar of course
Afternoon:
Grilled chicken or something with tons of lettuce. I've replaced this with veggies bc lettuce is basically just water anyway. It's rather pointless.
Snack:
A handful of mixed nuts
Dinner
Low-fat lean meat. Can be most any type of seafood, lean beef, chicken, etc. Make sure there's no skin on the chicken and you're good to go. Oh yeah, and eat as many veggies as it'll take to get you 'full'.
Dessert:
Sugar-free jello

I'll update this in a few weeks..
